Director | Marketing & Programs
Tammy joined the Innovation Center team in April 2016 in the newly created position of Director | Marketing & Programs.
Tammy was previously the Director of Marketing at OrthoWorx, Inc. She brings extensive knowledge and experience from the medical device industry, from both the original equipment manufacturing (OEM) and supply-side. She has twice owned a business. She has deep non-profit leadership experience, including as the founding board president for a 501(c)(3) organization to serve Northeast Indiana professional women.
She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism | Advertising, with a Marketing Minor from Ball State University. She is a Certified Coach of Wendy Kennedy, Inc., so what? who cares? why you?
She serves as Coach for Foellinger Center for Adaptive Leadership (FoCAL) (2018 graduate of Foellinger Leaders Lab Program); serves on The Literacy Alliance Board of Directors and serves alongside fellow Northeast Indiana public relations professionals through PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) Hoosier Chapter (Northeast Indiana). She serves as an Issue Media Input Fort Wayne Editorial Advisor and ESO Alliance Steering Committee. She volunteers for The Rescue Mission of Fort Wayne and The Chapel. She was the Founding President, advisor, and mentor of WISE, Inc. (We Inspire, Support, Empower).
She is a member of the Indiana Technology & Innovation Association and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She was a founding member of Fort Founders’ Collaborative (comprised of Northeast Indiana entrepreneurial service organizations).
Why do you enjoy working at the NIIC?
NIIC clients are passionate and diverse. They inspire me with their stories about what drove them to pursue their ventures. To somehow play a role in helping them dream big, get real, and start small is gratifying. Also, The NIIC team is a phenomenal group of professionals.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exercising, reading, writing, and serving my community.
What do you like to do in the community?
My family, friends and I like to check out events and restaurants unique to Northeast Indiana. We also like to visit small businesses. I thoroughly enjoy Sweetwater’s Community Drum Circle!
