For Female Founders Demanding More.
Women-owned businesses in Indiana are under-represented—lack of access to capital, entrepreneurial tools, mentoring, and resources. Most women-owned businesses remain a solopreneur. That’s perfectly fine for some. For female founders demanding more, we offer the Launch Women Business Builder Program.
The first cohort of Launch Women Business Builder began January 15, 2018 and will conclude April 6, 2018. Three companies accepted into the program are focused on transforming three traditional industries: wellness, art, and interior design.
One of these companies is in concept stage and not yet named. The other two companies are Rhapsody Art Gallery LLC and Simple Sample Solutions. Congratulations to these three companies on starting the program! Upon completion of Phase 1, these three companies will be recognized at The NIIC Ideas@Work Signature Event on April 17, 2018.

Room for Growth.
The business builder program is designed for women who want to start, grow, or accelerate their online or digital businesses in Northeast Indiana. There is no cost to participate. This support of Northeast Indiana entrepreneurs is possible through generous funders, The NIIC Ideas@Work Signature Event and The NIIC. It provides the opportunity for doubling or tripling the start-up capital potential for a woman founder upon completion of program.
Note: Limited to up to 5 founders/entrepreneurs per cohort
Phase 1 Program duration: January 15, 2018 — April 6, 2018
This includes 12-weeks of high-energy engagement in accelerator-like business building. Part-time commitment (7-10 hours/week) required, which enables entrepreneur to work full time during participation. Upon completion of this phase, participants pitch their business in the WEOC Launch Women Pitch Competition for potential investment in their ventures.
During this phase, participants execute their business model, begin completing working prototype, proof of relevance or begin selling to customers. Upon completing this phase, they have the option to enter one of The NIIC entrepreneurial programs.
