Northeast Indiana Innovation Center Adds Seasoned Entrepreneurial Business Coach

September 6, 2016, Fort Wayne, Ind.–The Northeast Indiana Innovation Center (NIIC), a comprehensive entrepreneurial resource center based in Fort Wayne, Ind., announces the addition of Gary Fry as a new Business Coach. Fry will lead the NIIC Student Venture Lab (SVL) Program and advance The NIIC’s entrepreneurial education initiatives. He will also provide coaching support to the Women’s Economic Opportunity Center (WEOC) clients.

The NIIC SVL is designed to assist high school and college students to launch their businesses and provides the business support services necessary to do so. The NIIC SVL program focuses on the four entrepreneurial success pillars essential to the development, growth and success of innovative ventures. These pillars include access to capital, talent, place making and connectivity to key resources on the NIIC campus and in the region.

The WEOC Program is an official U.S. Small Business Administration Women’s Business Center and strategically located on The NIIC campus. It serves entrepreneurial women, immigrants and the under served in the Northeast Indiana region that desire to launch and grow their businesses.

“Gary brings strong entrepreneurial business experience to The NIIC. He owned and operated his own business for more than 20 years. He understands the importance of advancing entrepreneurship and inspiring entrepreneurs. He has also mentored small business owners at various stages of their business life cycles and has also been mentored by several successful business leaders in the region. He has also taught in our local school systems at the middle school level,” said Karl R. LaPan, President & CEO, The NIIC.

“I look forward to serving the diverse SVL Program and WEOC Program clients coming through The NIIC to launch their businesses.
