Parkview Mirro Center Promotes Innovation
We are proud to have the Parkview Mirro Center, a pillar of innovation in our community, as a 5-year Club Sponsor for the NIIC’s own Ideas@Work movement. The Parkview Mirro Center has been significantly impacting the quality of life of not only Hoosiers, but people around the world with their groundbreaking research and events.
Improving Midwest Quality of Life
The Parkview Mirro Center for Research and Innovation is improving the quality of life for communities throughout northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio and south-central Michigan by providing individuals, families and healthcare providers with cutting-edge medical research and industry enhancing events and conferences.
By fostering collaboration between researchers, scientists, entrepreneurs and organizations, The Mirro Center is on a mission to revolutionize healthcare and save lives in the process. This is being accomplished through facilities such as the Center for Healthcare Innovation, Parkview Mirro Event & Conference Center, Medical Simulation Labs, Virtual Reality Systems, and more!
Advanced Technology Advances Research
The Advanced Simulation Labs are particularly fascinating. As Parkview describes, “Individual physicians, as well as teams of clinical professionals, can train in one of three labs equipped with high-fidelity medical manikins. These manikins have features that include pupillary response to a light source, a flow meter to measure medication dosage, RFID sensors located in the head and arm to identify medications, multiple pulse points, ability to sweat, cry, and bleed, and countless other features.”
With technology like this in addition to a host of other virtual reality and medical simulators, it is no wonder that The Mirro Center is changing the game when it comes to training and research in the healthcare industry.
