Innovation Day at Purdue University Fort Wayne, A Day of Entrepreneurial Thinking
Imagine Purdue Fort Wayne as a catalyst for regional innovation and entrepreneurship, bringing together students, faculty and business/industry partners to provide the creative fuel for research that leads to industrial innovation… What would that look like?
The faculty and staff of ETCS have been working in close partnership with college’s stakeholders to implement various initiatives of our strategic plan that was developed in 2016-17. Several strategic planning priorities involve industry collaboration, engagement, and innovation. We have established a series of open forums including a sponsored lunch during the spring semester where invited speakers will begin the forums with a presentation followed by discussions about cross functional and cross disciplinary collaborative research and innovation opportunities.
Our kick-off luncheon event will take place on Monday, February 17th at the IDEASpace. Purdue University Fort Wayne students, faculty, staff and industry partners are invited to attend the 2nd Annual “Innovation Day”, as part of Engineering Week celebration, organized by the College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science.
Mr. Karl LaPan, President and CEO of the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center (NIIC) will lead the discussion (12pm – 1:30pm), which is designed to inspire students, faculty, and industry and empower them with the tools to move their innovative ideas forward. Participants will also connect and learn from each other, as we share ideas and opportunities for collaboration. Space is limited so RSVP now to reserve your seat! Please arrive at 11:30 for a networking opportunity.
We hope you will join us to celebrate EW and the rich heritage of innovation in Northeast Indiana.
