IEDC Supports Small Businesses During Pandemic
During a recent innovation leadership breakfast at The NIIC, Linda Walczak, Director, Northeast Region, Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), mentioned the many resources IEDC offers to business owners. “We want to help businesses during this challenging time and help them to know what’s available for them,” said Walczak.
IEDC Grants—To help accelerate economic recovery activity, IEDC provided grants to small businesses that demonstrated a monthly revenue loss of at least 40% due to the pandemic. IEDC received applications through December 1, 2020.

232 Indiana small businesses in
83 counties across the state
41 certified minority-owned businesses
52 certified women-owned businesses

Manufacturing Readiness Grants—“Many small businesses are taking advantage of the Manufacturing Readiness Grants available through Conexus Indiana. While this grant program serves the healthcare industry, it is also available for small businesses for process modernization,” said Walczak.
So far, 31 manufacturers in 21 counties have received $19.3M planned capital investment through this grant.
